Terms of Use

Renovimo is free to use, and these terms set out what that use covers. The most important point comes first: the calculators produce estimates, not professional advice.

Read this first

Every figure on this site is an estimate for general guidance. It is not professional, engineering, structural or building-control advice. Before you order materials or begin work, have your project checked by a qualified tradesperson, engineer or supplier.

Agreement to these terms

These terms of use form an agreement between you and Renovimo ("we", "us") covering your use of this website and the calculators on it. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

You must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement in your country to use this site.

What Renovimo provides

We publish free online calculators that convert measurements you enter into approximate material quantities — paint, tile, flooring, drywall, concrete, wallpaper, underlay, roofing and related supplies. The calculators run in your browser, require no account and are provided at no cost.

We do not supply materials, carry out building work, inspect sites, or act as your surveyor, engineer, architect or contractor.

Estimates are guidance only

Results are produced from the values you enter combined with published coverage rates, standard product sizes and a waste allowance. They cannot account for the conditions that decide a real order, including:

  • the actual condition, porosity, level and preparation of your substrate;
  • the specific product you buy and the coverage its manufacturer states;
  • site access, cutting patterns, offcuts, breakages and installer practice;
  • local building regulations, structural requirements and inspection standards;
  • the accuracy of the measurements you provide.

Always confirm quantities with your supplier or tradesperson before ordering, and never rely on a calculator on this site for structural, load-bearing, safety-critical or regulated work.

Your responsibilities

  • Check that your measurements and unit selections are correct before acting on a result.
  • Verify the figures against the manufacturer's data for the products you intend to buy.
  • Obtain professional advice and any permissions or approvals your work requires.
  • Decide for yourself whether a result is suitable for your project — that decision is yours alone.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for your own projects, including commercial building work, free of charge. You may not:

  • copy, scrape, mirror or systematically extract the site's content or calculation logic to build a competing service;
  • republish substantial parts of the site as your own;
  • interfere with the site's operation, security or availability, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it;
  • use automated tools in a way that places an unreasonable load on the site;
  • remove, obscure or alter any notices of ownership;
  • use the site for anything unlawful or in breach of anyone else's rights.

Sharing a link to a calculator, or quoting a result to your supplier, is fine and encouraged. If you want to embed or license a calculator, ask us.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change, suspend or withdraw calculators, features or the whole site at any time, including revising the coverage rates and assumptions a calculator uses, without notice and without liability to you.

Intellectual property

The site, its calculators, text, layout, design, graphics, name and logo are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you.

The numerical results a calculator produces from your own measurements are yours to use for your project, commercially or otherwise, without restriction and without attribution.

The site may link to other websites and relies on third-party services to operate. We do not control them, do not endorse their content, and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or practices. Your use of a third-party site is governed by that site's own terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that results will be accurate, complete, current or suitable for your project, or that the site will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its results. This includes over-ordering or under-ordering materials, wasted materials, delays, additional labour, project cost overruns, lost profits, and any indirect or consequential loss.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you in connection with the site is limited to the amount you have paid us for it, which for free use is nil. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the site.

Privacy

Our handling of data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: the measurements you enter stay in your browser and are never sent to us.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The revision date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the country in which Renovimo is established, except that if you are a consumer you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections available to you under the law of your own country of residence.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
